Day 1
Arrival in Bilbao

Meet your private driver and the guide at the airport to start a tour around Bilbao where we will go to the Artxanda viewpoint from where we will be able to see the amazing views of Bilbao, and will then discover the old town of the city in a walking tour.

Day 2
Bilbao | Guggenheim Museum and the Basque Coast

  • Start with the famous Guggenheim Museum, where you will have the opportunity to discover the inside and outside of the museum with a guided visit. Designed by the North American architect Frank O. Gehry, it’s a magnificent example of the most groundbreaking architecture to have come out of the 20th century.
  • In the afternoon, head to the Bay of Biscay, where we will discover some of the most amazing attractions of the region like San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, an impressive islet off the coast of Bermeo and one of the most magical places in Bizkaia (Biscay province), well known for being one of the stages for the famous “Game of Thrones” series.
  • After visiting the famous islet and driving through amazing landscapes, we will head to Bermeo, a beautiful fishing village.
Day 3
Bilbao to La Rioja to San Sebastian | Wine Experience

  • Depart to Haro — “the wine capital” to enjoy the regular guided visit to Bodegas Baigorri, Haro’s modren winery, and taste the amazing wines of the region.
  • Then, continue to Laguardia, an incredible medieval town and capital of the wine-producing area of Rioja Alavesa, where we will discover its splendid ancient buildings.
  • Enjoy a lunch at Restaurant Hospederia de Los Parajes that’s based on a traditional Riojan style menu with drinks included.
  • Stop at Elciego, where you will have tickets prepared for the regular guided visit to Marques de Riscal winery, designed by famous architect Frank Gehry, which is a traditional one.
  • Drive back to San Sebastian in the late afternoon.

San Sebastian | Cooking Class and Pintxos Tasting

  • Become a chef for a day. Immerse yourselves in the 5-hour culinary experience entitled “Michelin Secrets Cooking Class” at Mimo Bite the Experience.
  • Learn to master the most modern kitchen techniques, as well as discovering the secrets of traditional Basque cuisine with a 100%-hands-on cooking class with expert chefs.
  • Taste your creations after finishing the course.
  • Embark on a walking tour of San Sebastian, through the city center and the old town, discovering its main attractions, such as the Belle-Époque-style buildings and the Buen Pastor cathedral, ending the tour with a tasting of representative Basque pintxos in the well-known bars of the city.
Day 5
San Sebastian | Biarritz, Saint Jean de Luz and Hondarribia

  • Drive across the border to Biarritz in France, which is a luxurious seaside tourist destination known for the Hôtel du Palais (originally built for Empress Eugénie around 1855), its casinos in front of the sea, and its surfing culture.
  • Continue to Saint Jean de Luz, a beautiful beach town known for its old town filled with colorful timbered houses and fronted by beaches, where we will go on a walking tour to discover its mains attractions.
  • Then, get back to Spain and visit  Hondarribia, where we will enter into the walled old town and walk through its cobbled streets full of colorful balconied houses and unique buildings such as the Castle of the Emperor Carlos V, which was turned into a Parador (luxury hotel) in 1968. Nearby is the neighborhood of La Marina, with its colorful fishermen’s houses, restaurants and archetypal pintxos bars with terraces.
  • Lunch at Restaurante Alameda in Hondarribia will be based on a tasting menu with drinks included.
  • Then we’ll drive back to San Sebastian. Ascend Mount Igueldo by road to enjoy one of the best views of La Concha Bay, and then we will return to your San Sebastian hotel.

San Sebastian | Free Time

  • On the last full day of the tour, you have a full free day to explore the city by yourself or just relax on beautiful Concha Beach.
